Claire Fuller: Short story workshop in the bookshop café.
Covering inspiration, beginnings, plot, setting, characterisation, dialogue and many other tips; this workshop will see you leave with the basis of a short story, as well as techniques to help you continue at home. You will be looking at a particular short story in detail, and there will be lots of writing exercises and discussion.
Suitable for beginners and more experienced writers.
The cost of the workshop is £65, which includes a copy of Claire's latest book, Bitter Orange, refreshments and a tasty lunch.
As well as being the author of three novels (Bitter Orange, Swimming Lessons and Our Endless Numbered Days), Claire writes lots of short stories and flash fiction. Her work has been published in many journals and magazines, and her stories have won the BBC Opening Lines and the Royal Academy/Pin Drop short story prize.
