YOUNG READER REVIEW

‘The Boy Who Made Everyone Laugh’ is a funny and exciting book. The story is about a young boy called Billy Plimpton. He is an amazing comedian but there is only one thing stopping him from reaching his destiny: he has a stammer. I recommend this to anybody who liked funny and emotional books.  Rating: 5/5  By: Oscar (age 10)

‘Once in a while a book comes along which makes you tingle and this is one of those books. It’s funny and moving, fast paced and full of memorable characters, tricky situations, wonderful relationships and one very brave, funny, boy. I can’t recommend it enough. If your mum is forcing you to read one book before your eyes fizz away from watching too many screens then make it this book. You won’t regret it!’

Description

Billy is an eleven-year-old boy with a big dream. He wants to be a stand-up comedian when he grows up: delivering pinpoint punch-lines and having audiences hang on his every hilarious word. A tough career for anyone, but surely impossible for Billy, who has a stammer. How will he find his voice, if his voice won’t let him speak?
