Reviewed by our Children’s Bookseller, Alex:

The moving story of how a life can be turned upside down in a second. Sami and his family live a familiar life, his Mum and Dad are professionals, Sami’s passions are football and computer games and then one day, life as he knows it is gone. Suddenly he has nothing but the clothes on his back and the few possessions in his rucksack. He’s hungry, cold, he’s an inconvenience wherever he goes. A moving tale of our times and a story which is sure to get children thinking.

YOUNG READER REVIEW

‘Boy Everywhere’ is an extremely emotional book about racism, equality and family. It is also about how we are all the same, no matter of our skin or our religion. In this book the main character is a boy called Sami who has to illegally evacuate from a place in Syria which is being bombed to England. I think this book is best for 10-14 year olds who enjoy sad stories about War, guilt, and homesickness. By: Isabella (age 10). Rating: 4.25/5.
