Click and Collect
We will be providing a click and collect service for orders which are paid for by phone or in our online shop.
If you’ve ordered books for collection please wait for us to notify you that they are ready before coming to collect them.
If you ordered books some time ago and have already been notified that they are ready to collect, please phone us to pay before coming to the shop.
We are unable to accept any payment at the door.
If you want to order any additional books please do so by phone or from our online shop – we will be unable to accept any orders at the door.
Once we’ve notified you that your order is ready, you can collect it during our opening hours:
Sunday 10am-4pm (November and December).
We will not be able to give bookshop loyalty card discounts when you pay for an order by phone or on our website, but will include the relevant number of loyalty card stamps with orders for collection at the bookshop.
We will be providing a delivery service for customers unable to come into town to collect from the bookshop.
We will deliver twice a week to specific postal areas (those which start with TN13 1.. and TN13 3..).
The delivery charge is £2.
Notification will be sent the day before delivery of your order.
This service is set up with the assumption that people will be at home to accept their orders. If you find that you’ll not be at home for the delivery or will be unable to answer the door, please put a waterproof container on your doorstep for us to leave your order in.
If we are unable to deliver your package because there is no answer or provision to leave it safely, we will take it back to the bookshop. You will then need to contact us to arrange another delivery or collect it from the bookshop.

Orders are posted 2nd class and delivery takes on average 3-5 working days. Please wait 7 days before contacting us if you’ve not received your order.
At this current time we are unable extend our bookshop loyalty scheme to include online postal customers. We still operate a paper system which cannot be applied to distance orders.

We are happy to refund unwanted items ordered from our online shop on presentation of a valid receipt or dispatch note, provided they are returned within 28 days of purchase and in pristine condition.
For books bought in person from our physical shop, we are happy to offer an exchange or credit note if the book is returned in pristine condition within 28 days of purchase.
We are happy to refund unwanted items bought from us in October or November 2020, up to and including 31 December.
