Twice Magic

Meet multi-million-copy selling, award-winning author Cressida Cowell, creator of the How to Train Your Dragon and The Wizards of Once series.

Cressida will be talking about her brand new book The Wizards of Once: Twice Magic, her inspiration and how to be an author or illustrator yourself. Unmissable!

Cressida will be signing books in Sevenoaks Bookshop after her talk.

Down the Rabbit Hole Live: Journeys Into the Past          

Set off on a thrilling journey with three top children's authors: Emma Carroll author of Secrets of a Sun King, Hilary McKay author of The Skylark's War and Katherine Woodfine author of Peril in Paris. They will be talking about how they take inspiration from history to write exciting adventures for young readers.

This special panel event will be recorded live for the children's books radio show and podcast Down the Rabbit Hole

Emma, Hilary and Katherine will be signing books at The Drive Methodist Church.

Axel will be drawing characters from his books, talking about his work and reading stories like The Ugly Five, his latest collaboration with Julia Donaldson.

Axel will be signing books in Sevenoaks Bookshop after his talk.

David Litchfield and his Bear Band     The Bear, the Piano, the Dog and the Fiddle

The award-winning author and illustrator, David Litchfield, will be reading The Bear and the Piano and its brand new sequel The Bear, the Piano, the Dog and the Fiddle, accompanied by live music.

Stick around afterwards to help David create animal-themed artwork. You can even join David's merry band of bears as they perform live music together on the bandstand!
